Standard Operating Procedures

The WCVF 88.9 Program Director is responsible for the managerial and programming decisions concerning WCVF and its staff members. The Program Director must be responsible for assuring that the Federal Communications Commission’s regulations are followed, and their requirements are met.

Duties:

● Organizing broadcast material

● Maintaining format clock

● Following station policies and guidelines and FCC regulations

● Selecting board operators and DJ’s

● Sustaining WCVF’s OpLog automation system

● Promoting WCVF on-air and off-air

WCVF Music Director

The WCVF Music Director is appointed by the WCVF Program Director, and (s)he shall report their progress directly to the WCVF Program Director.

Duties:

● Maintain relationships with record companies

● Add new music to the WCVF on-air booth

● Report to College Music Journal (CMJ)

● Manage genre directors

WCVF Production Director

The WCVF Production Director is appointed by the WCVF Program Director, and (s)he shall report their progress directly to the WCVF Program Director.

Duties:

● Production of commercials, liners, sweepers, legal IDs, and promos

● Work in conjunction with all FRS members
