FRS Announces 20th Annual Rockin' the Commons

This year marks 20 years that SUNY Fredonia's student-run radio station will be holding their Rockin' the Commons event. All proceeds benefit Roswell Park's cancer research up in Buffalo, N.Y.

The event will be held on Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. in Barker Commons in th Village of Fredonia.

A full lineup of bands are prepared to keep audiences entertained through the day. The following is this year's lineup,

in no particular order:

- Beach Tower

- Prospect Connection

- Asteroid Day

- Lobotomite

- Early Worm

- Jacob King

- Amphobia

- Fredonia Jazz Ensemble

- The Guerillas

In addition to live music, there will also be a large raffle table with support from local Buffalo, Erie, Jamestown, Maple Grove and Dunkirk/Fredonia businesses.

Freshly grilled hot dogs and hamburgers will be for sale, as well as other snacks and cold drinks.

Various clubs around campus will be doing their own activities for guests to enjoy, as well as CD and vinyl sales that will be led by Fredonia Radio.

The event will be broadcasted to both WCVF 88.9 and WDVL 89.5 as well as being broadcasted to YouTube by WNYF-TV.
